Who is the NuCanoe Flint designed for?
The NuCanoe Flint is a solo hull intended for rivers, creeks and small water. It measures 11 feet 3 inches long and 33 inches wide, the narrowest beam in the NuCanoe range, against 41 inches on the Frontier 12 and Unlimited.
Maximum capacity is 375 pounds, covering the paddler and all gear. Our NuCanoe buyer’s guide compares the models if you are weighing width against speed.
How much does the NuCanoe Flint weigh, and how should it be transported?
The NuCanoe Flint hull weighs 63 pounds. Whether rooftop transport is practical depends on your vehicle’s roof-load rating, your rack system, whether you use a loading aid, and your ability to lift safely.
Remove detachable motors, batteries, seats and equipment before loading, and consider a cart or trailer once the boat is rigged. At 11 feet 3 inches, allow around 11.5 feet of clear storage space. Our car-topping guide covers racks and loading aids.
How much weight can the NuCanoe Flint carry?
The NuCanoe Flint has a maximum capacity of 375 pounds, covering the paddler and all gear together. Any motor, battery, electronics and tackle you add come out of that total, so the allowance left for the paddler on a fully rigged day is well under 375 pounds.
It is the lowest rating in the range and the trade-off for a narrower, lighter hull. Our guide to choosing a fishing kayak for bigger anglers explains how to work the numbers.
Does the NuCanoe Flint include a seat, and is it the same seat as other NuCanoe models?
The NuCanoe Flint includes the Fusion Seat with Low CG Base, not the 360 Fusion Seat fitted to the U10, Unlimited and Unlimited MAX. The Low CG Base positions the paddler lower in the hull than the 360 Fusion Seat configuration does.
Seats and seat bases are not automatically interchangeable across NuCanoe models. Confirm compatibility with us before buying a spare seat, a replacement base or a second seat.
Can a motor be added to the NuCanoe Flint?
The NuCanoe Flint accepts a bow-mount trolling motor and the NuCanoe EPS electric propulsion system. The hull-specific bow motor mount is part #7151, and mounting brackets are not interchangeable between models, so confirm the part number before ordering.
PIVOT Drive production ended in March 2025, so complete drives are limited to remaining inventory, while component parts, service, repair and warranty support continue. Drives and their control hardware are model-specific. Tell us which motor you have in mind and we will confirm the pairing and the mounting hardware before you order.
How should the NuCanoe Flint be cleaned and stored?
Rinse the NuCanoe Flint with fresh water after saltwater use and store it out of direct sunlight. When covered or otherwise protected it can be stored right-side up; it can also sit upside down on crossbars or rails, or rest on a side gunwale.
Do not suspend the hull from the carry handles or deck rings, and avoid concentrated pressure points. The limited warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials, not damage from misuse, modification, neglect or improper storage.
What warranty covers the NuCanoe Flint, and is registration required?
The NuCanoe Flint hull is covered for three years against defects in workmanship and materials in personal use, and for one year in commercial use. Registration within 30 days of purchase is mandatory and is completed with the registration card or the online registration form.
Coverage excludes failure caused by misuse, modification, neglect or damage, and excludes incidental and consequential damages. Start a claim with Eco Fishing Shop and we will confirm the correct process.
