The Mossa 97 Powered by VoyaX brings the full XPDL SpotHold Drive system pedal drive, electric propulsion, GPS SpotHold anchoring, and cable-free unlimited 360 steering in one drop-in unit to a compact 9′ 7″ platform. Its 40.5″ hull, 66 lb hull weight and compact format keep solo transport and launch more manageable than the Mossa 128.
Three drive modes adapt to the way you fish Manual Pedal for pure leg power, Sync Assist that boosts every stroke with electric torque, and Full Electric with powered reverse while one tap of the seat-side Knob 360 controller locks your position against wind and current so you stay planted on the bite. With the included 48V 15Ah smart battery and charger, 87″ of wraparound track space for rigging, and a system that clicks in and is ready to fish in under 60 seconds, the Mossa 97 packs the technology that earned the Mossa Series the 2026 ICAST Best of Category Award for Boats & Watercraft into its most portable form.

What is the difference between the VoyaX Mossa 97 and the VoyaX Mossa 128?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 and the Mossa 128 run the same XPDL drive, so the difference is the hull and the published figures.
The Mossa 97: 9 ft 7 in by 40.5 in, 66 lb hull, 132 lb rigged, 400 lb published capacity, 87 in track, 2.5 gal XPDL dry storage.
The Mossa 128: 12 ft 8 in by 37 in, 93 lb hull, 164 lb rigged, 580 lb published capacity, 148 in track, 26 gal bow storage including an 11 gal tub, 2 gal XPDL dry storage.
Neither hull carries a published water-condition rating, so choose on dimensions, weight and capacity.
What is the XPDL drive on the VoyaX Mossa 97?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 uses the XPDL drive, a single unit that combines manual pedaling, electric propulsion, SpotHold position control and electronic 360-degree steering, so there is no separate trolling motor to rig and no steering cables to maintain.
Because the kayak has electric propulsion, it may be treated as a motorized vessel. Registration and operating rules vary, so review the state boating laws where you paddle.
How does SpotHold work on the VoyaX Mossa 97?
SpotHold on the VoyaX Mossa 97 is a position-holding function built into the XPDL drive. It uses satellite positioning to work against wind and current, and you engage it from the seat side Knob 360 control.
It holds position by powering the drive, so it is not a substitute for an anchor and will not keep an exact spot in every condition. The ThumbCon wearable remote is optional and sold separately.
What drive modes does the VoyaX Mossa 97 offer?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 runs three drive modes: Manual Pedal for leg power, Sync Assist, which adds electric torque to each pedal stroke, and Full Electric. Powered reverse is available.
Track Cruise, Spot Cruise and Course Lock are premium XPDL navigation-assist functions. Confirm current activation or inclusion with us before you order.
Testing in Assist Mode Level 4 recorded a maximum of 5.3 mph. Actual speed varies with load, wind, current and battery condition.
What battery is included with the VoyaX Mossa 97?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 includes a 48V 15Ah smart battery and its matching charger. Published battery weight is 13 lb.
Stored capacity is not the same as time on the water. Runtime changes with propulsion mode, assist level, current, wind, load, temperature and battery condition, and pedaling for part of the day stretches it.
No verified model-specific runtime in hours is available, so we do not quote one.
What water and fishing conditions suit the VoyaX Mossa 97?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 is the compact model: 9 ft 7 in long, 40.5 in wide, with a 66 lb published hull weight.
The VoyaX Mossa 97’s intended use cases include quick trips to ponds, small lakes, sheltered bays and calm inshore waters.
It carries no rough-water, standing or unrestricted saltwater rating. Weather, current, waves, load, water temperature and your experience decide whether conditions suit it.
For saltwater use, confirm the designation and maintenance requirements with us first.
How much does the VoyaX Mossa 97 weigh?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 has a 66 lb hull, 29 lb XPDL drive and 13 lb published battery. Rigged with seat, drive and battery it is 132 lb, with 400 lb published capacity.
The drive and battery lift out, letting you move it in stages.
For roof transport, use the lowest weight limit among your vehicle roof, crossbars and rack, then account for your loading equipment and what you can safely lift. A cart or trailer may be more practical.
What warranty applies to the VoyaX Mossa 97?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 published warranty provides five years for the hull; two years for the XPDL drive, smart batteries and chargers; one year for listed electronics and structural accessories; and 30 days for listed wearable parts and consumables. Coverage applies only to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable.
Coverage begins the day after delivery with valid proof of purchase, otherwise 90 days after warehouse shipment, and only when confirmed bound to your personal account.
Registration and binding aid support but replace neither requirement.
Claims use the VoyaX work order system and warranty statement. XPDL faults to VoyaX support or us, other components to us as selling dealer.
What accessories fit the VoyaX Mossa 97?
The VoyaX Mossa 97 carries 87 in of wraparound track, which accepts track-mounted accessories. Onboard power for a fish finder requires the applicable optional adapter, and a fish finder is not included with the standard kayak unless a specific offer says so.
Fitting a third-party accessory does not by itself void the whole warranty. The terms exclude damage a third-party accessory causes, and damage the kayak causes to it. Ask us before drilling or wiring anything.
