The Riversmith Quick Release Mount puts a River Quiver fly rod carrier on and off your roof rack in seconds, with no tools. It is a lever-action locking mount that Riversmith developed with Kuat, adapted from the quick release hardware Kuat builds for its ski and kayak racks. Flip the levers, lift the carrier off for the winter, for a car wash, or to swap it to another vehicle, and flip it back on for the next trip. Sold in complete sets for a 2-Banger or 4-Banger carrier, and it works with any River Quiver model on any crossbar.

How It Works

The mounts clamp to your crossbars and stay there. The River Quiver seats into them and the levers lock it down. A key locks the levers so the carrier cannot be released without it. Riversmith puts first installation at about 3 minutes, and after that, taking the carrier on or off is a matter of seconds. With the Quick Release Mount, the carrier sits about 4 inches above the crossbar, lower than the Standard Mount.

Fully locking – Each set includes keyed mounts, so the carrier is as secure in the quick release as it is bolted down.

Any crossbar – Round, square, aero or T-slot. The clamp works on most crossbar systems without extended bolts or adapters.
