Why We Like Them

The RIO Blitz Line is perfect for anglers facing the chaotic surface feeding frenzies known as blitzes. Its short, heavy head quickly loads the rod, enabling rapid fly delivery with minimal false casting. An enhanced, thicker running line simplifies retrieving and recasting, making it ideal for both seasoned anglers and beginners alike. This versatile line is capable of delivering large flies into tight cover or executing long, exploratory casts, making it an indispensable tool in any angler’s arsenal.

As RIO Ambassador Brian Horsley puts it, “The Blitz Line is not some one-trick pony. It can deliver big nasty flies into tight cover or reach out with long probing casts.” Designed with both performance and ease of use in mind, the Blitz Line makes fly fishing a more efficient and rewarding experience.
