Description

The Malosi Staple Series Chieftain 150F is a long-casting, rear-weighted floating stickbait built for serious offshore work. A dual-shell ABS body over welded through-wire construction gives it the backbone to handle big fish, and it arrives fully rigged with BKK hardware, so it is ready to tie straight on.

The rear weighting loads a rod up and gets the lure a long way out. Sweep it and it swims in a wide S-shaped, side-to-side glide; pop or stab it and the cup-shaped mouth throws a splash as it digs in, producing explosive surface slashes; twitch and burn it for a more aggressive presentation. It has earned its place on GT, tuna, kingfish, Spanish mackerel, cobia and samsonfish, though it is certainly not limited to those species – it suits most large pelagics that will come up for a surface lure. Each lure carries a hand-painted studio finish.
