With the trend in price point fishing kayaks tending towards compromise in hull quality, performance, gear management, and comfort, Jackson Kayaks Bite Angler doesnt cut corners.
The Bite performs to the high bar of paddling and stand-to-fish standards associated with the Jackson Kayak name. The Bite Angler has been upgraded to the Comfort Seat, which is the perfect combination of breathability, drainage, and comfort in a framed seat not traditionally found on price point kayaks.
The open-concept deck gives the angler one of our roomiest platforms to stand and fish. Ample storage fore and aft, paired with our updated bungee attachment system which prevents water from seeping into the hull, means there is plenty of storage space.
Four recessed areas on either side of the Bite Angler make quick, easy, and secure storage for tackle boxes. Also included are flush mount rod holders and cup holders on both sides of the Comfort Seat.
Four molded-in inserts on the stern of the kayak will accept our newly developed Accessory Mounting Bracket, designed to accommodate accessories with the four bolt mounting pattern such as a PowerPole or Torqeedo trolling motor.
Every model in our 2026 fishing lineup now comes equipped with the Jackson Kayak Comfort Seat 5.0. Designed with a deeper ergonomic base for better posture and lower center of gravity, the 5.0 delivers improved support, increased comfort, and a more connected feel on the water. Its the most advanced version of our iconic seat system, now standard across the board.
Who is the Jackson Bite Angler designed for?
The Jackson Bite Angler is designed for anglers who want a roomy paddle platform without buying into a pedal drive. It is 11’6″ long and 35″ wide with a 400 lb capacity, an open deck, flush mount rod holders and recessed tackle storage on both sides. It suits ponds, small lakes, calm rivers and protected inshore water. For moving water, the Jackson Coosa X is the river hull.
What are the Jackson Bite Angler dimensions and weight?
The Jackson Bite Angler is 11’6″ long and 35″ wide, and weighs 72 lbs bare or 78 lbs with the Comfort Seat 5.0 fitted. Maximum capacity is 400 lbs. Before deciding how to move and store it, confirm the roof load rating for your vehicle, the ratings for your rack, crossbars and any cart, and plan on roughly 12 ft of clear storage space for the hull.
How much weight can the Jackson Bite Angler carry?
The Jackson Bite Angler has a maximum capacity of 400 lbs. On a paddle kayak that figure still has to cover the paddler, the seat, a crate or cooler, tackle, water and any motor and battery added later. Nothing in the published specification says which of those the 400 lbs already accounts for, so work to a conservative total and keep the heaviest items low in the hull.
Can I add a motor to the Jackson Bite Angler?
Yes. The Jackson Bite Angler has four molded-in inserts on the stern that accept the Accessory Mounting Bracket, which in turn takes four-bolt pattern accessories such as a PowerPole or a Torqeedo trolling motor. A motor and its battery count against the 400 lb capacity. Our guide to kayak fishing motors covers the categories, and we will confirm fit for your exact configuration.
Does the Jackson Bite Angler include a seat?
Yes. The Jackson Bite Angler comes with the Comfort Seat 5.0 on 2026 models, carried on the patented EZ Hi-Lo frame. The high setting suits casting and sight fishing on flat water; the low setting drops your center of gravity when it gets choppy. The seat is the difference between the 72 lb bare weight and the 78 lb figure with the seat fitted.
How should I clean and store the Jackson Bite Angler?
Rinse the Jackson Bite Angler with fresh water after saltwater use, flushing the scuppers, the flush mount rod holders and the side tackle recesses where salt and grit collect, then dry it. Store it out of prolonged direct sunlight, supported evenly along the hull rather than resting on a single bar or hanging by the carry handles. Salt left in hardware is what seizes fittings a season later.
What does the Jackson Bite Angler warranty cover?
Coverage on the Jackson Bite Angler runs three years under a limited warranty for the original purchaser of a new kayak from an authorized dealer. It is nontransferable and proof of purchase is required. Year one is repair or replacement at no charge with free shipping, year two a replacement build at 70% off retail plus shipping, year three 50% of MSRP plus shipping. Fishing and exploration replacement builds exclude seats and drives in all three years.
