Multiweek backpacking trips that spend the majority of their length crossing blue lines filled with trout, trips into the backcountry surrounded by alpine lakes, busy airports and busses where space and convenience are crucial, no matter where the road takes you, Hardy has you covered with their Aydon Travel Rod. As its name implies, the Aydon Travel is designed for adventure, and it features a compact 6-piece design for ease of carrying. Combining exceptional performance with all of the versatility that you need, the Aydon Travel is a series of rods designed with equal parts power, precision, and fast recovery. The Aydon Travel pairs a lightweight feel with top-notch componentry like its Sintrix carbon fibre blank and custom-designed reel seat, giving the angler a reliable rod that can be cast all day long. Designed in line weights 4, 5, and 6, the Aydon Travel provides an option for lighter applications like spring creek trout fishing and high-altitude brooks as well as a 6 weight option for larger rivers and heavier streamer applications.

Blank

Sintrix – The Aydon Travel series begins with Hardys Sintrix blank and a medium-fast action that gives the angler smooth casting, quick recovery, and just the right line speed. Hardys Sintrix technology combines a high modulus carbon fibre with a rapid taper to give you an ultra-fast rod that can throw a tight loop into the wind, yet still maintain solid feel when casting up close. And with the Sintrix tech, you also get outstanding durability as a result of microscopic silica spheres that encompass each carbon fibre filament.

To complement those forested streams and long trails, Hardys Aydon blank sports a clean olive green color.

Guides

Ceramic Lined Stripping Guides – Built with Ceramic Lined Stripping Guides, the Aydon Travel offers solid line slickness with all of the durability youd expect.

Hard Chrome Single-Foot Snake Guides – A single-foot design shaves down weight while a Hard-Chrome build gives excellent durability and slickness. A solid guide configuration, the Ceramic Lined Stripping Guides and Hard Chrome Snake Guides combine to further enhance the castability of this rod series.

Reel Seat

Custom-Designed Lightweight Reel Seat – Made with a Hardy custom design and a focus on a lightweight feel, the Aydon Travels reel seat remains durable for years without bogging down the feel of the rod. And with a dual-uplocking reel seat, you can put confidence in the fact that you wont be spending all afternoon tightening the locking rings.

Rod Tube

Ready for travelwhether thats a busy airport or a tight trail en route to this weeks home baseHardy equips their Aydon Rods in a tough rod tube. Unlike most rod tubes, this one features a squared shape for further ease of storage.
