Our review of the Fox Rage Pro Grub

The Pro Grub is the lure you should reach for when classic shads stop producing results. Its sickle-shaped tail creates a unique vibration that triggers strikes from educated predators, where paddle tails fail. It is a decisive alternative for unlocking tough fishing situations, especially thanks to the ultra-realistic Super Natural Roach colour.

A radical alternative for predator fishing

A vibrating swim action to trigger inactive fish

The Fox Rage Pro Grub combines a robust body inspired by the Pro Shad with a wide sickle tail that dramatically changes its underwater vibration signature. Unlike paddle-tail lures, this design produces a strong rolling action and continuous vibrations that can be felt through the rod even during slow linear retrieves. When worked slowly close to the bottom, the tail tip occasionally touches the substrate, stirring up small clouds of sediment. This action perfectly imitates a distressed or feeding baitfish, making it highly attractive to cautious pike and zander.

Rigging versatility and trailer use

This lure comes in two complementary sizes to match the prey profile targeted by predators. The 12 cm version is deadly for zander, while the 16 cm model is ideal for targeting pike or catfish. Beyond standard jig head rigging, it excels as a trailer on a chatterbait or spinnerbait. This combination significantly increases both the visual bulk and vibration of your setup, making it especially effective when fish demand a larger meal.
