Joe Cordeiro is a master of tying flatwing flies. His series of flatwing hackle are the best around. We stock his silver grade.

Joe’s birds are exclusively grown byEwingfeathers and bred to grow our specific feather shape for tying flatwing style flies.

Each saddle is custom dyed, hand-picked, and meticulously graded to ensure the best quality possible. We would never sell a saddle we wouldn’t purchase or tie with ourselves.

Grading: The higher the grading, the fuller the saddle and longer, larger feathers in true “sword shape” to make for flatwing style ties.
