The Flashback Emerger, tied by Umpqua Signature Tyer John Barr, is a fly that’s designed to float in the film and fool picky trout feeding on emerging BWOs and PMDs. This is a phenomenal trout fly when fish are extremely picky and keyed in on a specific hatch. Trout will often feed just below the surface instead of eating duns to minimize their expended energy. This fly works well on spring creeks, tricky tailwaters, and any highly technical fishery. It’s available in two variations, a BWO-Baetis emerger and a PMD emerger.
