• 30-50 lb (Medium): the everyday boat rod mid-size striper, blues, big sea bass medium conventional
• 40-80 lb (Medium-Heavy): live-baiting, trolling, deep jigging bigger conventional
• 50-100 lb (Heavy): tuna live-baiting, heavy bottom fishing, deep drop serious conventional reel
